Each human body has a number of energy centers located in its subtle within, which are power centers of energy reception and transmission. The Vishuddha Chakra is the fifth amongst the 7 chakras and stands for communication, expression, growth and maturity. Symbolized by a blue lotus with 16 petals, it is located at the throat beside the thyroid gland and is known as the power of will chakra.
The sixth of the 7 chakras is the Ajna Chakra given by a white or an indigo lotus with 2 petals. Located in the eyebrow region of the forehead, it is physically linked to the pineal gland governing sleep and wakefulness of an individual. Known as the Wisdom Chakra, it is all about detachment of the subjective perceptions and embarking on a spiritual path towards development of one’s conscious and sub conscious psychological realms for enabling him to distinguish between truth and illusion.
The seventh or the top most of the 7 chakras is the violet thousand petalled lotus of the Sahasrara Chakra. This spiritually enlightened chakra stands for the release of karma and realization of the full potential of man through meditation. It is through this Chakra that an individual gains knowledge about the ultimate and final universal truth and realizes the immortality and omnipotence of his soul enjoying divine joy and lasting peace.
