www.firstgiving.com PLEASE donate to the Randy Pausch pancreatic cancer research fund. Dr. Randy Pausch has passed away this morning on July 25, 2008. He will be GREATLY missed but his words and teachings will live on FOREVER! This is a video that everyone should see. For those of you who aren’t familiar with who Dr. Randy Pausch is, the short story goes like this: He is a happily married man with three very young children. He spent years working for Disney as an Imagineer who helped them …

I’ve always thought this speech was overrated.

I really like this lecture, but I feel like he’s given up too quickly. He says throughout the lecture “I”m about to DIE…” or “I am DIEING soon”
I understand that he has cancer, but there *are* people who have survived worse cancer than he had. It’s a miracle to survive, but miracles do happen. Whether you agree or not, they still happen and they baffle medical science.
I wish he wouldn’t have dwelt upon his cancer that much, but instead give that attention purely to love and peace.
RIP

THis lecture gave me the new way of living…………..

I hope you get a chance to view his full final lecture which is over almost 1.5 hrs long this version is really simplified by comparison. In the full version he mentions death only in the beginning and not throughout. I really don’t think he dwelled on it as much as you may think based this only video.

it’s not overrated, it’s amazing how someone who knows he is going to die can stay that strong

I read it. Hope they make a movie about his life. I also hope they, get Ed Norton to play the role of Dr. Pausch.
